Most of you know that Ryan and I have moved to Oceanside the beginning of June.
We are currently living with his parents until we find jobs and an apartment. We are still working on the jobs part. This week Ryan has two interviews: one a sales company selling cheaper credit card machines to small businesses and a high school Bible/History teacher at the local Christian school. Be praying he gets the teaching position because that would fulfill his dream of being a teacher. Meanwhile he can work on his masters and eventually teach at the college level!
I am so excited for this interview!
Sales...blah! No way, dude!
My interviews = zero!
Which amazes me...
since I have 8 years of retail experience and have applied for about 30 + jobs.
But we are learning patience in all this frustration.
On a more positive note I am ever so slowly learning my way around town...
I am thinking of buying a GPS for when I start subbing! I want to be available to the 4 surrounding towns and I only know my way to target, walmart and the beach! :)
Meanwhile, I am working on a small etsy store for my new creations and getting a great SoCal tan!
I am also learning how to boogie board and body surf.
My next step is getting connected in our church's small group on thursday nights. I hope to build strong relationships with young couples so I can have a few friends in town. Thats always good right? At times, I feel all alone in this house of 7 members. Crazy, huh? but it's true. Sometimes you need people other than family to talk to. So I am working on that.
This last week my family came and visited! I was so happy they came, I really needed that! My brother, sister and did the tourist thing and went to all the parks! Mom even joined us for the Wild Animal Park and the aquarium! We soaked up the SoCal sun and I got a good taste of driving back and forth between San Diego and Oceanside!
I will post pictures of our adventures soon.
Well I better go shower, I just conquered cleaning out the Swan's fridge!
